The mission of The Prairie House Foundation is to rescue, restore and preserve for posterity the historically and architecturally significant former residence of W. T. Foreman, a banker and pharmacist who was one of Duncan's earliest and most prominent citizens. This stately home was built in 1918 and will be 100 years old next year!
Our goal is to present this most beautiful, early example of Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie School of Architecture
as a gathering place of history and education for the benefit and enjoyment of our beloved community and welcomed visitors.
Visit. Explore. Relax. Enjoy!

Viridian Coffee & The FPH!
The school bells are ringing in the Spring Semester! Over here at the FPH we're geared up for our Educational Forums.. During these STEAM sensitive events, DPS and Homeschool Students, Parents and Teachers fill the old house and grounds to learn about their own local heritage! Children are divided into small groups and paired with docents (all in their places with bright shining faces!) for 15 minute breakout sessions. Some of our sessions include an Art Session (with take-home project), Living History House Tour (where students learn how this almost 100 year old home was saved for THEM!) and Kitchen Conversations (Making butter by shaking cream in a jar and a lesson on Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie Style architecture)...
Students, parents and teachers enjoy our homebaked rolls with their own handmade butter on the front porch before heading on their way!
